The curiosity of young students.

Ignorance, and denying solid scientific facts.

Oh, fudge!

What class subject do you love to teach?

Creative writing.

What class subject do you hate to teach?

I can only say math because that’s when my students’ eyes glaze over and end up like stale oysters.

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

I’d like to be Secretary of Education.

What profession would you not like to do?

A teacher of orthodox religious studies.

When are you happiest?

When the school’s dismissal bell rings.

When do you lie?

When I’m in front of the School Principal.

What’s your major defect?

I never throw away all the mugs I receive as presents.

What’s your greatest virtue?

My patience with students who need help catching up.

What’s your motto?

A motto from Ignacio Estrada: “If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.”
